How this works
Each amount is multiplied by the number of times a year you pay it (52 for weekly, 12 for monthly, 4 for every three months, 2 for twice a year, 1 for yearly) to give a yearly figure. The monthly figure is the yearly figure divided by 12. Nothing else is added, so you can check the sum yourself.
The calculator does not know what things cost where you live and does not suggest amounts: use real receipts, your vet's price list or a quote. It also leaves out the unexpected, such as an emergency treatment, so many owners keep a separate savings buffer.
