How this works
The list covers what to arrange before your pet arrives, the supplies you need, food and water, health and safety at home, identification, training and settling in. Some items apply to every animal and some only to the one you choose.
It is a starting point, not a complete or professional programme: every pet and home is different. Your veterinarian, shelter or breeder can tell you what is right for your pet, including which vaccinations and treatments to book and when.
